This is Us... its our story

“The beginning is like a new life… Awaited with all its glory,
It’s we who make this life go on, so let’s not regret its story.” – Christine D’Rozario Kale

About the painting:
Medium: Photoshop CS6
Painting / Watercolour mode.

My third digital painting …shows the precious possession we hold and the potential we have to create it unconditionally  … this effort may have a lot of feedback scope.

Yes, the New Year is like a beginning of new life... something to look forward to by many, and for some, hopes to fulfill...places to visit and things to bring.

Eagerly we await the strike of 12 at midnight to welcome the year next… hoping something amazing would happen and last for the year through, and more perhaps.

Then when the party is over, it’s just the same as yesterday…and for the ones’ who slept off this wonderful  second of transformation, they wake up to  “just another day”.

The wishes of the fresh year just start to flood in when reality strikes of workloads and school tasks. How obvious !
Life comes back to where it was … in the beginning.

So are we living the full circle of life in just that one second of the 12 midnight stroke?

Let us not just let the year pass us by, growing us a year older. We do that every year.
We go places, we buy stuff, we invest, we spend, we get over with things, we get into new things…. we improve…and then we make resolutions all for the heck of it...I suppose.

Let us lift up ourselves, our conscious minds and not just wait for that stroke at 12 midnight….
Let’s reassure ourselves that we will nurture the future before it even starts.
Give it growth and place it well,
Be its wings to reach new heights,
Hold it steady but give it strength,
Be its cause to humanity and its reason to security.

The Year, the future is in our hands, like a new born and we its parents, each individual.
Just like parental love, where a child feels most safe, deep in our hearts if we peek, we all want to be in that place.

We have started to witness eye-openers in the nation, seen how the lay man can make a difference… our plans ahead promises wellness to those who need help and support …. We have started going the right way…but just a handful and only the beginning.

Let our choice and prayer not be just to live the year in good health alone, but to live with the belief that if we want no harm, let us cause no harm….And that would make us a better Human that just being a good one.

May we all have the sense and courage to build our New Year for what it’s worth.

Colours of the Rain

"Let not the transparent rain steal colour out of your life. Instead let them coat themselves in your hue and fall to the ground as individuals." - Christine Kale.

Just finished this piece... My second digital painting. Very happy with the outcome.

About the painting:
Medium: Photoshop CS6
Watercolour mode, Air brush 30 used for background colour effect. Rain effect and water droplets created through filters.
Had to get this one done before the rains dry up.

Well, I am not sure what I like more....hating not to love the rains or loving not to hate the rains.

Like I always confuse myself with my thoughts… I'd rather say that I both love and hate the monsoon.

The soothing breeze on my face, just before the gently gushing spray of rain, pouring down on me... like it was meant for me alone.
The wet mud and it's fragrance of life, filling the soul.... as if it were dragging me closer to my roots.
Then the thunder and the lightning, shaking my soul and beating my heart to its rhythm.... as if to awaken me  and beg it to scare me once again with all its might.

The rains, what a blessing after the summer!

So why do I curse this blessing..... By literally saying “the blessed rain got my shoe wet” …”Damn! It’s pouring again”… "Great! Just when I am on my way out, hell breaks loose"……. etc etc...

I guess that's when I realize that life cannot always be drenched away in the comfort of a soothing wet downpour of crystal clear heaven.

After all everyone comes home to feel warm, dry and cozy. And that’s when I know that I hate the rains just as much as I love them.

I guess we have to deal with the mud if we had once prayed for the rain to come down on us.

“And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow." - Gilbert K. Chesterton

A dedication to life, when it's no more

All Painters are like pretend Gods. We attempt to redo nature by trying to blend the right colours on canvas. But to be satisfied with our master piece, it's important to know which is the last brush stroke .  - Christine Kale

Well, this is been one of my attempts to explore my creativity once again.

My first digital painting and my thought around a quote I could best think on painters.
The feeling comes to you when you know that you have it in you and you can do it, and you have to do it right now..... kind of !!

Wasn't easy to get back to being artistic. This time tried it digitally... one of my long time passions'.

I am returning to my Blog after a while, in fact a long gap, and I do feel this space quite void.
Couldn't get my mind into imagining positive since last November and the horrifying incident in the capital city Delhi. It's been a nightmare every since. The thought coming back like a pinch even after every fun moments shared with my family...just can't seem to get it out of my head. Is life a terror that we live in and are we supposed to live in it this way through out, considering the sick judicial system of the land.

I feared to get back to writing as the reality of my blog title seemed so unjustified now.
The thought comes "what @#*!!ing  life is this"...( I am surly not mentioning the foul language that this gestures to).. but I guess we all share the same feeling that triggers our emotions in disgust.

Hell Yeah !! it's taken me a while to settle my thoughts...still can't figure out why I feel so haunted with that particular incident of Nirbhaya ... and yes she was brave till her last breath.

This painting I dedicate to her and all of those brave female who have faced this cruelty of life.

In life or in death, God's with you...in you.
